I attend several writer’s conferences and events each year, many of which are targeted for the mystery, thriller and suspense genre.
As upcoming conferences and events are scheduled, and those I will be attending, along with the “What’s New?” news, will be posted here.
So many great events and so little time! But I love them. Opportunities to come together with other writers/authors, literary agents, editors and those in the publishing industry. We learn about the craft of writing, the business of publication and promotion, and celebrate writers!
They are tremendous opportunities to meet, learn, network, and to stay current with all that is new and happening in the publishing world.
Killer Nashville
Last August I also attended the annual Killer Nashville conference in Nashville, TN, where I was honored to have my manuscript of BLINDSIDED recognized as a finalist for the Claymore Award!

ThrillerFest
One such conference I attend every year is the International Thriller Writers annual conference, ThrillerFest, held in New York City every spring/summer.
Upcoming is their celebration of their twenty-first year, with ThrillerFest XI scheduled for May 5-9, 2026 in NYC.
There are sessions offered where FBI and ATF agents educate writers about their world, to get the facts right. Multiple craft sessions, Master Craft courses, and opportunities to pitch manuscripts and meet with literary agents and editors.
Friday and Saturday of that week are panels of extraordinary, talented authors, and to celebrate the writers, stories, and accomplishments of thriller and suspense writers from around the globe.
In 2026, the ThrillerMasters are Harlan Coben and Lisa Scottoline.
At ThrillerFest XX this past summer, thriller legends James Patterson, John Grisham, and David Baldacci, just to name a few, where there. There were far too many fantastic bestselling authors in attendance to list here.
