BLINDSIDED
Lies are told. Lives are lost. It’s a helluva time to fall in love.
Twenty-five years after a fire devastates a small coastal Georgia town, a nationally-renowned Chicago surgeon returns to his hometown roots, uncovering a current trail of murders connected to the true cause of the tragedy that night, all related to the life of one young woman—with whom he unexpectedly finds himself falling in love.
At the pinnacle of his career, Win Devereaux, a nationally-renowned surgeon from Chicago, survives a devastating motorcycle accident, but as the result of his injuries, his surgical career and everything he had worked for, vanishes.
Broken in body and spirit, he retreats to his roots in the small coastal town of Good Haven, Georgia, to heal and regroup. He moves into the country home of his late uncle, Walter, who was the town’s pastor, and was Win’s last surviving relative.
During Win’s last night in Good Haven twenty-five years prior, a devastating fire destroyed a third of the town, and many lives perished in the tragedy, including those of his parents. Win, as a young man just beginning his surgical training then, was there the night of the fire, and his heroic efforts saved the life of a young woman and her unborn child. The night of the fire changed the course of the lives of the townspeople, and he soon discovers, is about to once again . . . since he has returned to town.
Claire Cortland, a gifted young musician, lives next door to Walter’s old place with her ten-year-old adopted niece, Delilah. Win soon finds evidence that his late uncle was murdered, his death not by natural causes, and the lives of Claire and Delilah may be targeted for the same fate.
Win and Claire, despite their age difference, share an undeniable attraction, and soon find themselves falling in love. Their growing relationship is threatened by fate and circumstances, all leading back to the fire years ago.
He pursues an escalating trail of new deaths, all seemingly related to events of the night of the fire, to reveal the perpetrator and reason. Despite endangering his own life, his search for the truth becomes more urgent, risking everything to protect Claire and Delilah.
Secrets are uncovered with shocking revelations, as he strips away years of deception. The truths he discovers of that night will change the lives of everyone in Good Haven—and his own—more than he could ever imagine…if he can survive to reveal them.
Win’s quest leads him to find love against all odds, hope where there was none seen before, loyalties tested, redemption and justice—before it’s too late.
TRIGGER POINT
Jack Ryan meets Salt.
Carr Collins, a former combat physician, spends a serendipitous night with Kitra Renova, a mysterious woman he had met on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia. She vanishes from his life the next day with no way for him to find her. In that twenty-four hours, she had changed his life—but he had no idea how much more so she was about to.
Seven years later, Carr has restlessly settled into a life as an ER doc on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Kitra suddenly reappears in Carr’s life, claiming they have a six-year-old daughter together, and that both he and the little girl, Katy, are in grave danger.
Kitra, a CIA operative, has been undercover in Russia, escaping with covert plans for a bioterrorist attack on American soil, one targeted for the top U.S. governmental figures. She implores Carr for his help, since all other agents with knowledge of the plan have been killed.
The United States possesses a secret resource—one that holds key to global domination—and President Nikolaev of the Russian Federation will go to any length to obtain it, through Project Trigger Point.
With Russian assassins on a mission to eliminate Kitra and Carr, and their daughter’s life at risk, they learn U.S. intelligence has been infiltrated, and they can trust no one. They have no option but to go rogue, Carr realizing their lives and the life of their daughter will not be safe until the Russian plot is derailed.
The biological weapon is in the hands of Konstantin Volkov, the leader of Russia’s most lethal band of assassins. Carr and Kitra pursue Volkov in a deadly chase to stop him before he reaches his prime target, the U.S. President.
But Carr learns Volkov has an agenda of his own, and that Volkov and Kitra, who is Russian-borne, share a disturbing past history. He also discovers the truth behind the real Project Trigger Point—is far more dangerous and far-reaching than he could imagine.
Driven by his emotional connection with Kitra and his desire to protect their daughter at any cost, Carr risks everything to put an end to Trigger Point.
Deceit, betrayal, and revenge culminate in a climactic finale, as Carr and Kitra race to protect their country, save their daughter, and avert the world from certain war.
FLASH POINT
Jack Ryan meets The DaVinci Code.
With their seven-year-old daughter in the hands of a global assassin, a former combat physician and a CIA operative race to derail an orbital missile attack to protect the country and rescue their daughter, before the heavens rain down a fiery retribution.
Carr Collins, a former combat physician, and Kitra Renova, a CIA operative, learn their seven-year-old daughter, Katy, whom they had believed to be dead after a recent international incident—is alive and in the hands of Konstantin Volkov, a Russian assassin. Volkov has been protecting the girl from the Russian government and promises her safe return to Carr and Kitra under one condition: They help him assassinate Russia’s president.
However, the U.S. president has called upon Carr and Kitra to help avert a national crisis. Russia is poised for an orbital missile attack on America, if the U.S. government doesn’t comply with Russia’s demands—within four days.
Carr and Kitra face a dilemma: Follow the president’s orders for national security . . . or get their daughter back. They go rogue in their own plan to accomplish both—they hope. To do so, they must locate and obtain information from the missing Nikola Tesla papers, as well as clues hidden within the works of Leonardo da Vinci—in a plan where history is used for modern technology—in order to derail Russia’s threat of attack.
Their quest leads them from New Orleans, to a sea cave in Lake Superior, and finally to Malta and Italy, pursued at every turn by the Russian GRU. Carr and Kitra must use their unique skills and abilities to recover their daughter and prevent a global war, before the heavens rain down a fiery retribution upon the country in Operation Flash Point.
FLASH POINT introduces speculative elements and grounded science fiction, blended with historical records, in a fast-paced story in the vein of the National Treasure series. The underlying strong emotional core of the family relationship and stakes of Carr, Kitra, and young Katy is in play throughout the story.
FLASH POINT is an action/adventure thriller, and is the second in a series, following TRIGGER POINT.
